the 5 point harness is much safer, when you are being projected forward at a speed of over 100 mph, there are many things that could happen with a normal belt such as in the worst cases decapitation....

but how often are you going 100+ mph?

5 point, obviously.

provided you hook it up right though.

5 point would be tons safer, but do you really need it??? Once it's on, no leaning forward to change the radio stations or to pick up cds you've dropped on the floor. Plus, without the factory seatbelts hooked up, it's going to throw the SRS code, which could possibly cause the airbags not to work as well.

there is an easy way around that. just measure the resistance of the seat belt switch when it is closed(seat belt in) and open(unbuckled). then, just get a resistor with the proper rating.
