94 c1500 won't idle

Ok here is my story hope you can help.....

*side I am doing this job for a single mom with two young boys*


Truck starts...won't idle....dies

the truck starts only when i give it a little gas. if i don't give it gas it dies out in order to keep it running..i have to keep my foot on the gas.
have replaced the fuel filter....fuel pump...and now are out of ideas.


please help help help

Are you getting fuel through both TBI injectors?, Take off the egr clean the pintle and seat, maybe carboned, lots of possibilities here, on site help may be your only avenue. pS, check for major vacuum leaks, cracked/disconnected large vacuum hoses, spray carb cleaner around the throttle body to manifold area, see if the engine changes response.

I have an 88 1500 c/k and I had the same problem and I was able fix it by replacing the idle air controle valve located on the TBI. It sounds like that is your problem.

ya also try the tps censer.
