Supercharged and VTEC B20?

Hello, everyone. This is my first post to AF, so please go easy on me. I have searched the forum and have not seen this question specifically. I have a ’98 V with about 87,000 mi on the clock, and I love it. It is paid for, is in perfect shape, and is the most practical vehicle I have ever owned. I love the gas mileage, but would like some more power. It is a 5 speed manual, so it is adequately peppy for most use. However, when driving here in the mountains, I would like some more suds.
I am considering some power upgrades. Does anybody know of a vtec and supercharged B20 in a V? I have seen one or the other, but not both. If it can or should be done, I am assuming I would use the JR supercharger for the vtec engine, instead of the LS engine. Would the JR vtec supercharger fit in the V? What kind of power would a conservative setup like this create? I am an adult, and do not intend to make the worlds first drift V or Evolution killer. I am just looking at my options. Of course, the easy solution is to get a new turbo Forester, but I don’t like the car as much, and it costs much more than I could ever spend upgrading my V. I just want safe, reliable power without creating a gas guzzling monster. Many thanks in advance.

i can see it done with a 2wd crv, but, if it is a 4x4, i dont see how the ecu will respond to the change. interesting though, try searching honda-tech.com.

Another option would be the CR-VTEC route. Bolt a B16 head from a Civic Si onto the B20 block. You'll gain considerable HP and VTEC all in one.
