Last week I was coming home from MD. I had the cruise control set at 71mph. Got off my exit about an hour later and the truck acted like it was stuck in overdrive or something... Proceeded home (very cautious) problems all the way. When I pulled into the driveway the truck bogged down like I left it in 4th gear or something...and stalled. This is an automatic BTW. I woke up the next morning (praying it was all a nightmare), and all seemed fine with the exception of irratic shifting ( it took a few seconds longer than usual to shift into second). Drove all the to MD again and came home, no probs. Well needless to say, She wont shift into second gear at all now...what to do? Someone please help me out with this...Please tell me to go buy a new TCC or OD sensor, pop it in and be done with it....LOL.

possible throttle position sensor?? it can sometimes cause late shifting, irratic shifting, and lack of shifting...

Might be the rear speed sensor, there are a few posts here where shifting problems were caused by that.

How many miles? You might benefit from a fluid change.

what year is your truck? They do have a problem with the Gov. sol and transducer. Just takes a pan drop to fix them with new ones. Also came across a few that beak the 2nd band strut or the 2nd band lining fails
