Yeah I gots it alright along with a few accessories. The 6 cyl is OFFICIALLY pushing over 300 hp (atleast according to estimates by aftermarket manufactuers). Ive actually had the set up for about 3 months but now I got her all hooked up. I got my bottle warmer and an air fuel ratio gauge (its a rotary performance one AND YES I AM PUTTING A ROTARY PERFORMANCE STICKER UNDER MY HOOD). The only thing I am having trouble with is the fuel safety switch, it never says I have enough fuel pressure, so I just grounded it and it works fine, I think its broken anyways, plus I never even get closer to dropping lean so I think im good. I seriously cant wait for the season to start again so I can head down to the track and stomp on some GTs.

So I will get some pics up but here is th official new mod list

SLP RAM/CAI
Whiper high flow lid
K&N panel air filter
Magnaflow Catback
85 bhp dry shot NOS (0.045 jet)

I will be sure to take some pics

Sweet!!!

Although I don't think you will be beating GT's. Should be close for you though.

you'll beat all the gt's that are pre-05 and congrats on the nitrous system

hell he will beat the o5's too. they dont push over 270hp. unless its a roush or a saleen and the soon to be cobra. if his car has 300hp with the spray then he will have no problem getting up on a gt at all. hell he will hang with a few ls1's...i can beat a ls1 with a few mods but im spraying or (was) spraying way bigger of a shot than he is. i eat gt's

^^the 05 gts have 300hp

the gt mustangs? i dont believe that because i can hold my own against them in my 6 cyl 3.8, and the only mod i have is blowmaster exhaust and a shift kit

Mr. Luos

Maybe 1995 GT's.

I doubt he is making 300 HP. MAYBE flywheel power.
The bottle will help him a bunch, and he will be able to hang nicely with the GT crowd. Won't be hanging with any LS1 cars though.
Just thinking that the 99-04 GT's will take him by a little bit.

to the guy who said the new gt has 300hp, u must be new. no such animal as a 300hp gt mustang...now if u care to pay a few extra grand u can get a mustang that has a bit more than 300hp but u wont get one for under 26k. the gt is still under 275 and im sure i can dig up some dyno sheets to show u. we went accross the street from our shop and test drove the new gt right onto our dyno lol. it ran a bit faster than a new lt1. they suck ass, the gains came in the v6 form. the gt didnt get much gain at all, the 6banger now has a bit more than 210hp jumping from 190..

Mr. Luos
10-30-2005, 09:18 PM
Right...the new GT doesn't have 300 RWHP, but neither will the V6 on the bottle.

300 is what the V6 on the bottle is supposed to have crank power, and 300 is what the new GT is rated at.

well what i meant he would for sure beat pre-05 gt's... i just didn't know for sure about 05 and up gt's...

i mean, when i raced an 05 gt he kept up better than a 02 gt... i murdered both, but it looked like the 05 "hung" with me better LOL

I haven't been able to get an 05 to race yet.... damnit...

R.OConnor

manufacturers always base their hp at the crank, it always sounds better cause its a higher number. So the new mustang GT is 300 at the crank and mine is probably right there too if not more

Time will tell man.

It would be nice.

Get her on a dyno with the spray, or just get some track times.
Who cares if you can beat GT's anyways?? As long as you enjoy your car.

u must be new. if you head over to the ford website you'll find that the new mustang gt is rated at 300hp.it might not be 300 at the wheels, but its rated at 300 :screwy:

i think he ment it doesnt have 300rwhp... but it does have 300hp at the crank

R.OConnor
10-31-2005, 09:02 PM
well if a dyno sheet says 270ish it would make sense for it to be 300 at the crank

what supporting mods do you plan on?

R.OConnor
11-01-2005, 03:17 AM
special NGK plugs, the ones with the lower heat range. I was sure to top the diff up (like that make a huge deal but it can hurt). NOS also recommended getting your auto trans (which I have) serviced by a "reputable high performance transmission shop" which was a no. I keep an eye on the fluid and to be honest, if I blow it up I can rebuild it at school for nothing and throw in a shift kit while im there

hhhmmmm 13.9 seconds... that might be a little tough to beat, im not even sure what my quarter mile time will be but im also sure that 13.9 is biased number... professional driver, best run out of 10, possible removal or replacement of a certain belt....

The new GT's are running into the 13's pretty easily.
