the thing is I have an 88 crx dx, and it has 250,884 miles to it and counting all the parts on it are completely factory in the exception of the seats, the sound system, rims &tires, hub assemble, water pump, and timing belt. Seeing how only three of these parts are mechanical I think im doing pretty well. But I do have questions like, why does my car start to over heat when i punch it and i get it up to 6500rpm which isnt the problem it doesn't get to cracking my head hot but all my water evaporates so i have a problem and i dont no what it is? another question is gonna take a little explaining. My Dx came with the option of ac something that im pretty sure came as a standard for an Si, so my climate control is from an Si, something I didnt find out til recently. Well good old me trying to take care of my car I went to Honda trying to get a new climate control when mines broke, they showed me one that looked just like mine so i didnt ask questions but they wanted $400 for it, which is more than half of its blue book value, so I went to a junk yard and found me a honda accord and took the one out of it, it didnt look quite the same but i figured id try, no go, so my question is is there any way to make my wiring work with that climate control.

Yeah, I highly doubt a climate control out of an accord is going to work, let along fit the tight area above your stereo. You should stick with a CRX one. GL

Mine has 256,500+! lol everything's stock except the "euro" style crystal bumper lights, kenwood head unit, and old and rattling Infinity Kappas.. and it runs almost perfectly. The idle boost doesnt really work too well, like it idles at or around 700 w/ no load, but then drops to 500-550 with air on. Its not too bad, I tried cleaning the IACV with carb cleaner already, it helped a bit. Sometimes it boosts the idle.

well the one i got out of the accord is the same one that comes with the crx dx. I had seen it on the net and I new I had a Dx so I got it. Plus they had no crx I guess its kind of a good thing crx's are so reliable they dont up there. so I hadda settlle for the accords and it did fit actually it fit perfectly for space wise and mounting but the wiring from my crx doesnt fit. like i said i have the hook up for an Si control. and oh ya I got euro's on it too.

What i wanted to do was figure out a way to convert the first one to the second with out actually getting the second, if that makes sense

Converting from an electric controls to a manual cable controls is not going to be easy and i'm serious about this. A while back I found a thing on the net that describer how to go from a manual cable climate control (civic) and convert it over to the electronic climate control (crx) It's alot of taking out small parts and replacing them with the needed items. It's alright that you said accord cause I was having a hard time wondering how they actually fit, but yeah, the one out of the civic is exactly the same shape and all except that it's all cables instead of electric wires.

Hey I have another conversion question, how hard would it be to convert a Honda crx to power steering, and would other honda parts like civic and accords fit in properly and work? If it is,nt a book to do it can you also please post how it can be done?

Could be quite a few things. Bad head/bad head gasket, low coolant, radiator cracked, check if the hose has any holes in them.

Okay I have recently discovered that converting my car into a Power steering vehicle is nearly impossible, and virtually pointless in a price range perspective. But I do have a question would it be possible to rub an a/c line to your intake so as to have a super cold air intake with out an actual turbo?
