Too Tall

I just purchased a very nice 1968 Nova with a 383 stroker and a 4 speed manual the problem is the seat wont go back enough so I can actually drive it some what comfortably. It is a bench seat out of a 71 nova that is in the same location as the old stock beach seat was. The problem is I need about 6 inches of leg room due to the fact I am 6' 4" tall. I have been looking for seat extender brackets but no luck. Can somebody please help!

First off check to make sure that your seat actually is all the way back it could be jammed or caught on something . Other than that its fabricating time. What I did was found a set of bucket seats that had a long set of tracks. Not all seat tracks are created equal. When I installed them I set them back a few inchs(had to make every thing any way so why not?) By the time I was done I could straighten legs, nobody but me could drive the car but that is not a bad thing. My back seat also became a joke but once again not really a bad thing. I am also 6 4 so I feel your pain
