I have a transmission leak. It is not major at this point. I have a 2001 F150 Super Crew. Is there something (fluid) I could add to the transmission that would stop the leak? Looking for the best advice before I have major transmission problem. Thanks :screwy:

did you service your trans ? maybe it's time and you can change the gasket for the pan and get rid of the leak. unless the fluid is coming from somewhere else in which teh stop leak would not really help. well... it helps but some times does more harm in the long run.

Stop leak may stop the leak but also may stop the trans.
Do not add any crap or stop leak to it.
Take a look under there and see if you can spot where it is leaking. then fix the leak.
It may also be time for a good trans service. but use the correct mercon V fluid and the oil pan gaskets are usually the reusable molded rubber gaskets that you can resuse several time.
A lot better than the gasket that comes with a aftermarket filter kit.
Also depending on what trans you have some need the band adjustment checked or adjusted and some need a total flush on the fluid.

Sounds like very good advice. I was VERY leary of putting any of that "leak stop stuff" in there. The trans has not been serviced - I will see that it gets done. Thanks for the replys.
