Well i broke down and bought a new sub today. I picked up a Kenwood KSC-WD250. It's a 10" 100Wrms 200Wmax "self-powered". Sounded pretty good and it's got the remote control for the amp with it. Exactly what I wanted to match with my Kenwood KDC-MP822 deck. Here's a pic/overview of the sub. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-GOUFvVjW5Xl/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=51000&id=morephotos&i=113KSCWD2#Tab Check it out. Let me know what you guys think. Peace-

Well i finally got around to hooking it up and all i can say is WOW. Clean clear bass that is absolutley perfect. I will say damn that remote makes a huge difference. You have complete control of how your sub is operating at the tips of your fingers. If anyone out there is looking for something inexpensive and good sounding then this is definatly something to look at. Another great thing about is that it has it's own wiring harness so you don't need to buy anything extra, except for RCA cables if that's how you want to hook it up, if you don't have RCA outputs on your deck, then the wiring harness includes wires to wire the sub into your rear speakers so that it is where it will get the signal from. Props to kenwood on this one. First selfpowered sub that I would recomend buying, I've heard in quite some time. Peace-

LoL, we are just busting your chops, if you are satisfied with a single entry level 10" thats good, save your hearing.

HAHAHAHA! I used to have 2 12's running 350W a piece in a competition bandpass box. and before that 2 15's running 500W apiece and it was just too much. I get the whole idea "bigger is better. go big or go home, etc..." I just don't like having way too much bass. I used to like the whole "make the car thump concept", but i now prefer a balance between loudness and quality of sound. Definatly some nice looking subs you guys got there though. Peace-
