97 GA GT ETS Light on

Was looking at a 97 GA GT at a loco dealer. I took it for a drive and noticed the ETS light was on so I hit the button , but it stayed on. Well when I got back from the test drive I asked them(GM Dealer) whats up and they said they hav no clue. Cant figure it out...
I my self hav never had this type of ETS switch go bad or throw the idiot light(unless it was turned off).
Does Anyone know for certain why the ETS light would be on? I dont really want this car if the ETS is not going to work like its supposed to. Thankx for any help. XI

Well, After having the car over night, I done some digging into the wiring, and sure enough, it was just the switch. I didnt fix it, but at least I know whats up with it. I was hoping it wasnt something seriously wrong.

Now I must get them to knock off a $2k. LOL! They are asking $5100, 3.1 w/80k miles, auto, cd, it needs brakes and new exhaust(exhaust is not stainless, thats for sure) and the Ets button fix'd. Has new tires that might be alright for this winter. I'm just trying to pick up something nice but cheap for the winter, to run the shit out of.
