Yes!!!! It is finally here! The Revell/Monogram 1/12 Camaro kit is now out and available, and at a reasonable price:

Anyway, I want to get the model car garage detail set for this. I noticed P-Man got ahold of this set for only $15. Has anyone else seen this set available anywhere for that price? The best price I can find it $26.

Thanks!

most distributors are still showing it as early november.... however they are showing the california charger as early november too, but I saw one at hobby lobby the other day...keep your eyes peeled, apparently these are beginning to hit the shelves

Does anyone know if these are molded in white or orange? I am really hoping they did away with the orange plastic.

I would guess white. I beleive that revell has pretty well done away with the colored castings...with the exception of the newer kits being molded similar to the way Tamiya does theirs. aluminum/metallic peices are done in a silver type plastic, black peices in a black type plastic and everything else in white

I've had my California charger for about a month bought it from www.modelexpress.net. I'm sure he will have the Camaro as soon as it is out (and he is in Canada)

Anyone get this kit yet? I am just wondering if they used the cheap plastic they used on the Corvette kit. I sure hope not. This was brought up in the 2006 Mustang thread, and now I am concerned.

YAY! Now, if Revell did it in the crappy new plastic, I just might have to cry...

Well I got mine today. Unfortunately, the box side says "Made in China" and the plastic appears to be the same white plastic used in the Corvette kit. I will do some testing tonight, and let everyone know.
Other than the white plastic, this appears to be a straight re-issue, with the same flash on the tires and all. :D There are no new parts that I can tell, and the decal sheet is still the same, with only the white stripes.
I am still happy to see this kit again though.

I bought mine from Fantastic Plastics here in Pa. They are popping up all over Ebay now. A search returned about 10 kits.
The funny thing is, there is an auction for one that started just before this kit started showing up as a new item, and the bidding is up to $66!!! :D Poor people.
