1996 GMC Jimmy 4x4.
Whenever I leave the house, you never know if it will die at the next stop sign or not. It runs fine, no hesitation (or check engine light). After I come to a stop, it will either accelerate without problem, or choke the engine when I touch the gas pedal. When it starts to choke, I year sort of a backfire type noise from the engine compartment, not loud but noticable.
Then if I let it sit for about an hour it will run fine.
The problem with this is that there is nothing specific besides stopping that makes this happen, I do notice though it happens less when it gets colder at night. I hope you guys can help me out on this one!
It has had all the routine parts replaced recently, wires, plugs, air/fuel filter, oxygen sensors about a year ago, but nothing coming up in the scanner.
Thanks a bunch.
