Thinking about buying an 82 V6

While at work today my cousin called me and said he's got a buddy who's selling a 1983 camaro v6 for 375.00. I want to buy it but before i rush into anythng i'd like to know how these cars hold up and if its worth buying and putting some work into and what problems i should expect. He said its got a little rust on the fenders but nothing serious and runs and drives just fine and had the tranny rebuild about 3 months back. What do you guys think?
