Thats what I am going to do. I'm sure everyone else on this forum will tell you to get a AEM or whatever but I seriously doubt that there will be that much difference between an AEM and a home made one. I am just going to buy some silicone couplers, a few of those clamp things, and some straight pipe and make my own.

if your talking about one of those rubber type things that you use to connect your intake to your car, good luck finding one, when i tried to find one parts stores told me the only way i could get one was to buy an intake

Thats a bunch of bull. You can get them at Menards. Well, thats where i've gotten them before. Or some hardware store should have them.

would making a dual cold air intake make a difference from a single?

On a non forced induction car, I highly doubt it.
