3.0 liter caravan coolant leak

I have coolant pooling in the V of my 3.0 liter block under the intake manifold. If the water pump is failing can coolant get to the V even if the water pipe O- rings are not leaking? Has anyone experienced a similar situation? :banghead:

Theres actually a hole then when ur pump starts to go bad (the seals i believe), it starts to leak out of that hole. I forget exactly what its called but if its leaking from your water pump, you need to replace it.

And yes, some coolant will still get through but only until you run out which doesnt take long.

In my experience, coolant that pools there comes from a leaky upper radiator hose connection at the engine, or a leaky thermostat housing gasket.
