Info on Cobra ESD 7000 radar/ laser detector

Can anyone give me specifics on the Cobra ESD 7000? I just bought it at Sears Auto yesterday, and I was wondering if its good or crap. From what I've figured out, Cobra is pretty good, but not the best for sure.

Well it's cheap so it's probly not gonna be that great, it will sure tell ya when your caught though! Also it had nothing about how far it detects so another clue it's not to great.

I don't know how it ranks among others, but the only thing I will tell you is that no radar detector is invincible, and none should be relied upon as your first line of 'defense'.

Don't fall for the false sense of security they can provide. You should always rely on your vision and pay attention to the road and your surroundings first and foremost. The radar detector is only a nice additional means of avoiding a ticket. Almost half the times I've been pulled over, I had one in the car, so yeah, bottom line, they are great and have saved me from a bunch of tickets, but no matter how good they are, they are not perfect and will not save you all the time. Sorry that doesn't answer your question, end of rant.

I used to have a Cobra and it worked well. The tickets I got while I had it were because either the detector wasn't plugged in or I just ignored the beeping.

is laser detection as reliable as radar detection? it seems like it owuld e harder to detect lasers because they are easier to keep focused into a beam than radar.
