o2 sensor removal

Anyone have ideas for removal of the o2 sensor? I swear it is locked up... I bought the right type of socket, but I can turn the sensor. Any ideas would be great.

When I took mine out, I shot it with PB blaster and made sure the exhaust was thoroughly warmed up. It was still tight but finally did come out.

The best way to remove the O2 sensor is with the exhaust COLD.
I use brake fluid on sticking or rusted threads (old farm trick...works better then penetrating oils).
Turn the sensor out as far as you can without resistance then squirt some brake fluid on the threads and screw it back in.
Wait a few minutes and try again..if you are patent, the O2 will come out without removing the threads from the manifold.

How did you actrually reach this thing? I had to replace mine about a month ago and could barely get anything around it with how deeply it was embedded into the exhaust manifold. I ender up cutting the wires off it so I could get deep sock around it and got a BIG old breaker bar to crank that thing out. Took me a couple hours.
If there is a better tool, PLEASE let me know. None of my wrenches could get near it.

A quality 7/8 open end, careful not to round off the sensor or disconnect the harness of course and use a 7/8 box.
