Need HELP Quick
My 2000 Taurus SE had an engine light on. Replaced the EGR sensor, Valve, etc. No more engine light, however, now the selector column is stuck in park and evidently cannot sense my pressure on the brakes to release from park into drive. Is intermittent, but a real problem. Is there a sensor that I may have bumped, messed up, etc. that I now need to replace also?

There is a brake switch on the brake pedal that may be the problem. Ford also had a problem with the connectors breaking allowing the wires to come unplugged. It is located about 2/3 of the way up on the brake pedal under the dash.

There is a recall that fixes this. It is free from Ford.
