ok...my mom has a 99 camaro 3.8 v6. anyway it is running rich and sometimes it runs like crap and the CEL will intermittently go on and off. well i ran the codes, but couldnt really get anywhere, so she just decided to take it to a mechanic. i havent talked to her in a couple days and just found out that something is wrong with the throttle somehow...and it would be like 500 fucking dollars. so i asked her what was wrong with it and she cant remember what they told her, but whatever it was there was two...thats all she can tell me. i am assuming that it may be the TPS and i know there cant be 2, otherwise that would be stupis and bad mechanic design. so i called chevy to ask a price on the tps, a little piece of shit box that measures voltage. well to my dismay they DO NOT SELL THAT SEPERATELY!!! can you belive that you have to buy the throttle body unit with the tps( and they told me like 550 or somethin). HAHAHAA fuckin americans. so after my ranting of disbelief is there any way around this. they sell the ls1 separately ($57), but i dont think that would work at all, but it would at least need some sort of ecu retuning. thank you all if you choose to read this.

So you're dissing both, americans, our cars and camaros specifically? Anyway I wont start flaming you, but for the TPS, I would go to an autoparts store before going back to the dealership and ask for one, and your model. I highly doubt that you have to buy the throttle body and whoever told you this was BSing you, because in my 3.1 the TPS cost me 7-15 dollars, and was easily fixed. And im sure Chevy wouldnt go like an idiot and make it one whole thing, that would piss off too many people.
