What are your thoughts about Google Talk, Google's Instant Messenger for chat and to speak on voice? Will it go ahead of YM, MSN, AOL.... or not?

I haven't heard of it either. What would the advantage be to using google's messenger when there are so many other well established messengers?

i heard something about it, but what i understood was that it was not real similair to yahoo, msn, or AIM. but i may be mistaken. it seems more like a online phone service.
i don't know though. the others are alrady pretty well established so i don't see how it could be better. everybody has their own preferences anywyas.

i think its gonna take a huge incentive or some amazing features before everyone switches to it.
msn has everything i need, and more. i've only used the games like twice.

I think Google is trying to be everything to everybody. It seems like every week they come out with something new. I heard on CNN Headline News yesterday that a beta version of their own classified ads was accidently released over the Internet, but was quickly withdrawn when the leak was discovered. I don't think I'll use it. I already have AIM, Yahoo, MSN, and ICQ and rarely use them now.

Also, if you were curious to where "Google" came from, I kinda assumed and I'm pretty sure it comes from the number "googol," which is 1.0 × 10 to the 100th power, meaning it's 1 followed by 100 zeros. If you see the relation of how Google has over a hundred million, if not billion webpages available to be searched. So, nothing technically has ever reached to such quantities of "googol" so it's basically an impossible number to reach, so Google's theme with the word is that they're capable of having an out of this world number of webpages to search......kind get where I'm going?

So what? A company has set out to be well reconised, and earn money for what they do, whats your point?
Basically you are saying thet google is doing wrong by starting a company and trying to advance their business as far as they can?
I may be drunk and argumentive but I can't see why you are trying to put down a person who has started a business and tryed to get far in the area. Jealousy maybe?
