Tire Sizes

Hi all, I am new here and am trying to upsize my tires and want to know what I can get away with.

Some background info:
2001 Quad Cab 4x2
Currently running 255/65/16


I was wondering if anyone has gone with tires of 245/75/16?

Your tires right now are 29.1" high you want to move to a 30.5" high tire, which are the same height as the 4X4 Dakotas. It will fit, but your speedo will be off 3mph at 60mph. Which isn't that bad
