Prelude vs. Civic vs. Cavalier

Well it was car meet night tonight up on Barrett parkway here in the ATL and me and my friend in his 00' Civic EX went up to join in the festivities. Well we drove around for awhile going into parking lots checking out all the cars and rice that was out there. We got back on the three lane parkway, I am on the outside, my friend in the middle and then I look to the far left and I see another car. I couldn't tell what it was just yet but I could hear it's exhaust. We are all crusin' at about 55 when we stop at a light. I look over to see it is a Chevy Cavalier. I kept all my bad commments to myself until I heard him rev. I don't know what happened but it pissed me off. Of course my friend in his Civic revs back, and I follow with a little rev of my own. It looks like a three way race is gonna happen. I look over at my friend in his Civic and he is intently staring at the light and so is the driver in the Cavalier. I thought for a moment I should just let them go at it and watch the race from behind and then I thought no I gotta show off a little bit. The light goes green and we all gun it. I easily take off on both of them, I would say by third gear the Civic was back by a car and a half maybe two and the Cavalier was on the Civic's tail, right on his bumper. I then slowed down to let them catch up and my friend followed suit and got behind me as the Cavalier gets up next to me and then speeds off. All in all it wasn't anything impressive but it was a race.
