Hey all. New to forum. I have used it before but havent registered til now. Used it to help me replace a water pump on my Jimmy. Now I have a question. I have searched and found several issues on the erg valve and cpi unit. While driving I will notice on my tach that it will decrease 100 - 200 rpms almost all the time. I think this might be the cpi(spider) unit losing pressure. I would like some feed back on that. Also, the erg valve is constantly becoming stopped up. I bought the vehicle off my father about a yr ago. Yesterday he told me he had it at the dealiership earlier and found that the erg valve has a recall on it. Does anybody know anything about this recall?

Thanks,
Auk

Hello and welcome to the forums.

You can find information about the CPI and how to check for problems here:

There are some great pictures here:

There is a TSB for the EGR, not a recall. Here is the TSB: (This isn't a free service, the dealer will charge you)

You can find Recall information for your truck here (You can call the dealer and give them your VIN and they will tell you if they have been done):
