Hey i have a 97 cavalier rs with the 2.2 and i am going to change my fuel filter, but how do i relive the pressure out of the gas line befor i take the filter off. Because i don't want gas to spray in my face.

according to my haynes manual, all you do is remove your fuel lid, disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector located near the fuel tank, then start your engine and allow it to run till it stalls

Thanx alot. It sould be the same on my car. it is only one year apart. but you have the ecotec don't you?

fuck i wish, mines only a 98, its cursed with the 2200, and the haynes manual is for 95-01, so it should be true on your 97

oh that suck because i know in 98 they lost 5hp because chevy redesinged the motor for smother ideling and all that crap. luckly i have a 97

yeah, its a pretty weak engine but the fuel milage is incredible, i dont know if my intake or 5 speed makes a difference at all but its just unreal

They both do ALOT, you can run low rpm's and that cold air intake sucking all that cold air, WOW the gas mileage is great!!!!!!!

well its not a true cold air intake, but im sure the generic k&n filter lets in more air the the stock setup
