So, you may remember my problem that I was having w/ my 92 735il. Well the overheating is gone for now. I have another issue that I'm not sure if it’s normal of these cars. After I have been driving it for a little while I park the car to run into the store and come out to start it back up and the temp. gauge is just past half way, as soon as I start driving it goes back to half way. Does anyone have a clue on what is going on?

Idle will bring your temp up as the waterpump is only moving wiht the engine around 750 rpm or whatever you may idle at.
When you are driving your running around in most liekly 1,500rpm+ situations. Therefor your waterpump is moving alot more coolant around the engine and through the rad, cooling it more and moving on the cooler coolant to take more of the heat away.
Its a very normal thing nothing to worry about.
