Hi Everybody!!!
Iīm new on this forum, a have a problem with my town country 1996 lxi, the problem is the batery, itīs get drained if i donīt drive the van in one day....i was thinking in the batery itself, buy it at the dealer,and made a mistake when a was think in the problem was solved, last sunday i didnīt used the van all day long, in the morning of this monday, the same problem appear again...can you tell me what is causing it??? by the way, something that i noticed when i put the new batery, i get some sparkīs when i connecting the post of the batery the lights inside of the roof of the van where on.....what is causing it???

you will need a test light, disconect the positive battery terminal. Connect one side of the test light to the battery positive post and the other to the positive cable from the van. The light should not come on if there isn't a problem, maybe a vary slight dim is okay, from things like the clock. In your case I'm sure it will light up. Now go to the fuse box and unplug one fuse at a time until you pull the fuse that makes the test light turn off. At least this way you can find the item thats causing the problem. ( don't say you don't have a 12 volt test light as they are about $3)

Have you installed anything like a aftermarket stereo or entertainment system?

Iīll check it!!! all the mayor fuses are located under the hood??? close to the batery??? as soon check these fuses iīll tell you soon as possible....Thanks a lot!!!
