Air filter box re-installation troubles

Hey all...

My car has been sitting on the side of the road dead for the last week and two days. I've been having battery problems and couldn't get out to charge it because it's been raining for 11 days straight now. Anyways I've had the filter box out before and have never had a problem putting it back in. But, this time, the box seems to be catching on the pcm wires as well as the shift cables. I was thinking about taking the resonator off the box and then re-installing it later. Any ideas?

I've tried a lot of angles. This time is different. I never had trouble getting it out or putting it back in before. But, I just was working on the shift linkages and am thinking that I didn't put everything back where it was supposed to go. The box is getting hung up on the PCM wires. I used to be able to move these wires around easily. I think I'm just having trouble because its so cold and the wires are getting stiff.
