Good day to ya all. Drag tracing is a growing game where I come from. Piston as well as Mr Wankel’s machines. Friends of ours are rotary freaks. They build them up (mostly 13b’s) sell them and race them. Do there own dowling, porting, balancing and all the nice little thingies that goes along with it. The only thing is that no one in my country know nothing, sweet blue zero about N2O on a rotary application. Is it possible? What needs to be done? Is there anybody out there that could inform me on this topic? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaase

efi and spark tuning

im no expert by any means

but i do know the nitrous injection has to jive with the spark plug timing, i think its slightly before the spark?

Well if they aren't jiving together and you give it a shot of NO2 at the wrong time, it will be potentially bad, But as for NO2 and Rotary's? I am not too sure. It will be the same basic theory behind it as there is behind NO2 and a piston pusher, but I would imagine that there is less to worry about so there would be a more leniant deal.

Just my 2 cents though.

Steve Kan is an awesome tuner that has experiance with a wide range of stand alone ECU's. He also has vast knowledge tuning N2O equipped Rotaries. He uses it on his own RX-7 in drag applications and I believe he is running low 10's with a full street legal car.

He like to travel and do tuning sessions. If you can get enough people together to chip in he will come to you. You can contact him through his website.

He is an awesome down to earth guy that just loves cars. I had a good time meeting him when he came to Florida and tuned my car.

Well i have tuned ALOT of n2o equipped cars before. Haltech, MoTec, Wolf, AEM are all great stand alone ECU's that im VERY well experanced with. There are some others that i have worked with but those are the ones i prefer for the RX.

If you are serious about the hole thing then i suggest you look into a fully wet system. ZEX offers some good stuff, as well as Venom. the Venom systems usualy include a brain and some saftey bits so you dont end up destroying our engine.
But with the right stand alone you can just do that part yourself.
So in the end it comes down to how much are you willing to spend to go fast?
