I have recntly installed a set of white faced illuminated gauges in my 98 F-150. To install them I completely dismantled the dash and took the gauge instrument panel completely out. To do so I disconnected all three wiring harness that plug into the gauge panel and took the needles off. I spliced into the wireing harness for my headights to get power so that the gauges would glow only when the headlights were turned on. I put everything back just like it dismantled. Now the gauges glow when the headlights are turned on, but when the ignition key is turned on there is a bell, chime, or beep of some sort coming from under the dash on the right side (behind the glove box). I can't locate the exact location of the beeping sound. It beeps for about thirty seconds when the key is first turned on then it stops, but does it again maybe thirty minutes later while I'm driving. It is driving me nuts! please help me if you can, I don't know what else to do.
Thanks

Contact the manf of the gauges you installed.
If they can not help drop them in the trash can and put the origional gauges back in.
A lot of times the gauges are wired threw the body and gem and eng computers.
Good Luck

I wouldnt say trash them, but take dash off again and see if you cant find problem that way. Like MT said contact the company that makes the guages.
