difference between 00 ej25 and 05 ej25???

I got an 05 2.5 rs and as you may know the aftermarket barly exists for the 05's. All the big companies (AEM, KN, VIbrant, etc.) have parts, for example a light weight pulley kit, for the 99-01 models but not the 02-06.

WHat is the difference between them(If any)?

I dunno I might be screwed up or somethin.

2000 2.5RS Engine description:

Engine: Phase II 2.5 L 4 cylinder aluminum alloy 16 valve SOHC boxer engine.

Distributorless ignition
Horsepower: 165 @ 5600 pm

2005 2.5RS Engine description:

2.5L 4 cyl boxer SOHC 16 valve
(same used in all other Subarus except WRX, STi)

Sequential multi-port fuel injection

Platinum spark plugs, NGK FR5AP-11, firing order 1-3-2-4
Idle speed Manual 650±100, Auto 700±100
165@5600 rpm Horspeower
166@4000rpm Torque

By description, they're pretty much the same, although I am sure there are minor differences.

Yeah, well, I know I could find out all the differences with a few minutes of research, but I don't really want to since I don't have a 2.5 RS right now.....

But, if knowing the info is available, I also know that if somebody actually wanted the info and wasn't too lazy to search, they could get it too.

Yah thanks, Ive just been looking at this underdrive pulley kit form unorthadox and they are saying its applicable for the 99-01 impreza. Ive tried e-mailing the manufactorer but u kno how that goes...

Has anyone tried bolting on a pulley set with this problem?
Does it fit and run right because ive seen studies that it gives 2-3 horse per pound, and its a relativly cheap add-on.
Anyone done this before??????????
