Year/engine would be helpful...
Have you metered the power leads to the coil? How did you determine no spark from coil?
What do you mean w/ the power connection it can't be plugged up? (don't understand the sentence)

I have a new coil, new distributor, new cap, and new wires. I am getting no spark from the coil with the wire connection, it cant be plugged in wrong. Any thoughts for someone at a loss?
I own a 1986 GMC S-15 Jimmy Engine is a.... (shot in the dark) 2.8L V6 (if not then it is the 4 cylinder 2.5L)

thanks for your replies.. found the trouble. the
elect. ignition.what is the name of black box under
rotor cap? that is where the power stops.
