Are All Headers The Same?

HEY GUYS,

I am planning out my engine swap , and i am trying to figure out what headers i would need to clear everything. i have looked at all the websites and see nothing about headers that will fit a 350 small block in a 4th gen body. I am going to go with a set of vortec heads .I would prefer full length but will resort to shorties if that all that will fit or will LT1 headers bolt up to the gen1 small block?

I cant find much info out there for this kind of swap.

yes lt1 headers will bolt up to older 350 heads. most of them will work just fine for the swap.

No.. they are different. Some are ceramic others are stainless steel and they have diff configurations for diff exhaust setups.

why would you be swapping a gen1 350 into a 4th gen??

because i have a a free 350 and a 700r4 that i can get my hands on. what i dont have is the money to buy a nice ls1 to put in there and its much better than the dead chunk of metal thats in there right now =) i figure i can have a real fun car for under $3,000. I was skeptical i could get it to work at first but after reading some stuff and seeing the pics i am ready to start.
