a buddy of mine has a 03 Cavalier i dont no much about them but he swares up and down that his car will somke my bird i have an 3.4l with cold air in take and new cat back system his all stock who do yall think would win

the ecotech in the cav is is a strong motor i have a 3.4 firebird when it was stock the cav would have taken it

It comes down to transmission and driver. If you have a stick and he has an auto, you should be able to take him, if you have an auto and he has a stick you will probably see his tail lights.

it'll be close, but the firbird has better torque, and plus u have some mods..so i think u'll take him..i had a 95 bird and i would beat my friends 01 cavy..dont know much about cavaliers either so i dont know the difference between the 01 & 03

i think he will have the start but you will somoke him in the long run. Because i have a 97 rs cavalier and it is a 5 speed and it only comes with 120hp stock. But the 03 just found out they have 140hp. So you will have him.

You should win.. try to lighten up your car a little by taking out your rear seats, cleaning out the car, taking out the spare tire and jack. that would help out.

He would smoke you.. no doubt about it. You might get him off the line but he would fly right by you like there was no tomorrow.

150 ft/lbs tq @ 4000 rpm

200 ft/lbs tq @ 3500 rpm
You may have higher numbers on him.. But, if you consider the weight between the two and the fact that the cavy can achieve a higher top end. I really couldnt see you beating him. And that's coming from a fellow 3.4L owner as well.
