06 STI vs 03 COBRA

theres this kid who lives near me that says his friends bone stock 06 sti with i think 300 hp can run with my friends 03 heavily modified cobra. Catback, headers, cams, 200 shots of WET NOS, and a procharger to just name a few mods are on the cobra. i no for a fact it cant but i wanna get ur opinion if itll be a close race. (both cars have a 6 speed manula gearbox)

that cobra would eat that sti for lunch. The sti might pull on the start but that cobra would definetly eat it up.

maybe for the first 10ft. when he drops the clutch on his AWD, but afterwards it'd be like a CRV runnin a viper.

mid 13 sec car vs high 12 car stock for stock so the cobra probably wont even have to try.

We raced an sti with my friends 92 GSX (the one i use to own) that runs low 12's now and it pulled so hard on the sti that it was kinda sad. That cobra is probably in the 11's so...

With a 200hp wet shot, "a procharger", and the other mods it better be workin on 9's.

theres been cases of those cobras dynoing at 400rwhp stock. and with all those mods... it wouldnt even be close.

I raced an 05 sti on my stock 03 GT and beat him! (he had a lil trouble finding 3rd) hehehe q(^_^)p

with all those mods i dont see the sti even standing a chance... give that friend some time to do some mods of his own (he did just get the car afterall) and then it'll be closer.

there aren't enough mods out there to make that race close.

if that guy even has to use nitrous it's just to amplify the ass-kicking, hje'll own the sti easily. And if it's from a roll even worse.

was it worth swapping out the stock eaton out for the centrifugal unit?i would have opted for a twin screw unit from jackson racing as i prefer instantaneous torque over top end power, like what you get with the procharger.

ok now the kid actually wants to race him. i told him my friend would rip him apart but he dont believe me. well its gonna happen tommorow at the track, so ill fill ya in after its done. i hope ur predictions are right!!!

Depends on the driver, and driving conditions. In the wet, on street tires the STi would kick the Cobras butt :)
