Creaking latch: fold-down seats E46

A creak has developed in or at the latch for the 60% portion (driver's side) of the 60/40 rear folding seats in my E46. First noticed when driving over rough sections, or when driving through any type of depression that causes the chassis to flex a bit (I'm guessing). It can be reproduced by twisting that section of the seat by hand.
Took a quick look at the latch -- is it user-adjustable somehow for tightening purposes?
Temporary solution has been to jam McDonald's napkins in between the seat and the latch itself, although this seems rather tacky as a long-term solution for such a great car.

You could maybe use foam padding and paint it the same inbterior color to hide it. Im not sure... check the dealer to see if they can fix it...
