Man, snow days are even BETTER as a teacher than they were as a student!!!!
Can you believe this weather in the Northeast??? The mountains of PA are reporting up to 6" of the white stuff and still falling (and that was at 6:30am!!! It's now past 8am!!!)
I am sooooooooooooo excited! I'm gonna get a head start on my Christmas shopping! w00t!

It's a cold white dust that falls from clouds. :icon16:
You probably won't need to worry about it unless you go up into the mountains, or watch Nat'l Geographic on TV.

UK is expecting a serious winter ahead, the snow here has recently been early january (round 12th to be exact) when we have real storm an white-outs, everything shuts down.
this year its said to be an "arctic winter" or something like that, can't remember the exact words.

i'm not sure to be honest, i cant remember. i do remember once havin to stay at school overnight because we were completely cut off (mill hill) an people couldnt get cars up the hills. stranded ! my dad sat in traffic for 5 hours, then i told him he might as well go home, the golf had no chance of gettin to the school.
an global warning, in the UK it has the adverse effects, it's actually getting colder here, global warming doesnt have the same effects the world over, here its gonna drop in temp. a lot.

Yeah, there are theories that global warming will cause a cessation of the gulf stream(due to various factors including glacier melt flowing south), which will keep the warmer water and air from reaching the UK and northern Europe.

It's too damn early for snow! We have a "Winter Storm Watch" for tonight and tommorrow for upwards of 6" or more. Geez, it's the end of October and the leaves are still on the trees here, which is a rarity since our peak color is around Oct.10, and by the end of the month the leaves are usually gone. Hell around 40% of the leaves are still green!

lol.. in sweden they've predicted the coldest winter in 10 years, so back in '95, it was below -25degrees celsius on the day, nearing -35-40 on the night.. +8degrees indoor.. :D , actually im looking forward to this one, snowballing the shit out of the seniors of my school :P.. the dark is pretty depressing though, getting dark at 1pm , pitch black at 4-5pm.

Yep, above the Arctic Circle I believe. Solid daylight for a couple months in the summer, solid night for a couple months in the winter.
