Continuing on with my quest for information...

What I know is that my AC has no belt. A friend showed me where the compressor is located but that's about as far as I got and I think other "things" may be missing.

I've looked at AC parts for the LeBaron thinking I could just buy everything I need beside the compressor and discovered the "condensor"... a radiator looking thing. My question, which leads me to tally up how "important" AC is by virtue of its cost, is... WHERE can I look to SEE if I have the condensor? I saw the compressor w/no belt and a larger wheel next to in on which its belt would wrap. But no condensor. Is there something ELSE that goes with these two that I should look for?

I want to know if it is as easy (not to me, probably, but to a mechanic eventually) as having a belt put on or if something is missing.

As I said before in my other post, I am mechanically inclined but definately not auto savvy. Just as with simple carpentry and doing things for myself, I am willing to learn a new dimension.

I have more LeBaron questions/postings about:

Trunk locked w/no key, no code, and resistance to hiring a locksmith (for now... $)

Rear driver's side window (slips down a few inches and has no motor sound or movement). Replacement relatively simple?

Purchasing an OWNERS MANUAL... WHERE OR WHERE?

Well, first off, you can find the condenser, which is essentially appears to be a mini radiator....directly in front of your radiator. In addition to the condenser and compressor, you should be able to find the AC lines and an accumulator. The accumulator is attached to the passenger side of the vehicle and will have the AC lines going into and out of it. The AC lines also lead to the condenser. So just trace your AC lines to where your radiator is and you should find the condenser.

The a/c prolly is fine, it just may need to be converted. People taking the belt off is common because if it doesn't blow cold air then y should it be hooked up. Put a belt on it, convert it to 134a and it will prolly be fine.
