Is this a good deal?

Hey guys,
I was in the market for a 97-01 lude and came across a craigslist post. Im pretty much a newb so if u guys can help me out that would be great.

Hes asking 6500 but i negotiated with him and hes willing to let the car go for 6k. I am going down tomorrow to check it out but wanted to get some tips from you guys that are experienced with these cars. TIA

I'm skeptical about the engine work he claims (valves rods rings etc...) but that's a good price even without the engine work.

Wow, thats a damn good price. I have a feeling it either wasnt maintainted the greatest at one point, or he's abbused it somehow.
