Weird Tranny problem need help fast

Ok, have a 92 lebaron Convert with the 3.0 V6 auto overdrive. Sunday it did something really weird. Was driving fine till I had new tires put on it Saturday, then Sunday it did this.

Make a long story short it will move forward in drive, havnt drove to far dont want to get stranded. Put it in reverse you can feel it try to engage but will not move, doesnt bog the motor or anything. Now the kicker, put it in neutral while it is running it will not move either by coasting or pushing by hand, it acts like the car is stuck in park or you have the emergancy brake on, even though the shifter is in neutral. As soon as you shut the motor off it will release and roll just fine. So what would make a car stop cold while it is in neutral and roll fine when you shut it off?

Real emergancy need to figure this out quick. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what shop did you get your tires mounted? weird that this develop right after they had done a tire change/wheel balance...

I really don't know what to say here....I suppose it's possible they popped a sensor, but I don't think it would cause a problem like that. Just for shits and giggles, though, check to make sure everything is plugged into the trans that should be. Otherwise I would suggest getting a transmission diagnostic performed. I just had one done and it cost me $60. I just thought of what it might be, but just as quickly forgot what the hell it is called....will post if I remember.

yep, the only thing i can even remotely guess that are near the wheel/tires are the ABS sensors/ rings on the wheel hub (if u got ABS)... maybe they dislodged the plug for one of them or something... y i suggest taking it back to let them see it. (it's just a guess)

have any trouble codes stored in the car's pc?
------------------------------------------------
Turn the ignition key ON,OFF,ON,OFF,and finally ON again(ENGINE NOT RUNNING)
The codes will start to flash on the POWER LOSS or CHECK ENGINE light.
FLASH,pause,FLASH,FLASH=code 12

Diagnostic trouble codes may be cleared by disconnecting the battery ground cable for at least 20 seconds.

I havnt checked codes yet, wasnt sure if it would show any, the light never came on. I am checking all the plugs today to see if one came off or got broke.
Walmart is where the tires were done at, and I know they dont always hire the best tire people or the most careful. Not saying all just in case someone on here works there.
I am stopping by the Dodge dealer today and a couple tranny shops also to see what they have to offer on it. I will repost if I find something. But I have never had a car act this way so wasnt sure if it was specific to these type of trannys.

Ok I think it is shot. I was messing with it today and it let go and started a sound like a wurrring(sorry dont know how to spell that). And wouldnt move, then every once in awhile it would try to kick into gear, so sounds like something inside the tranny let go, does that sound right to anyone else?

I think siezed up would be a better term for it than let go...I still have no idea what could be the cause of it, however...

Something, like a snap ring broke on the inside of the tranny. It also could be that the valve body is leaking, or that there is a bad seal somewhere.

I have the same problem with the car will move in neutral with engine off but not in neutral with engine running. Also, if I disconnect the selector indicator switch, and put it in reverse only, it will drive in forward. I also had tires changed with a size too big. I get error 34 in diagnostics. Any help please!
