limiter not

my cavalier doesnt have a limiter i got it up to 111 but my speedomter only reads 110

1. How do you know how fast you were going if you peaked the speedo?
2. Your limiter is at 108. It is illegal to disable the limiter. I doubt you did.

What year is the cavalier? i know SOME the older ones don't have a limter. some of the 94 and down don't have the limiter. And you can buy a chip or update the ecu to take off the limiter but ya it is ileagel. Thoes little 99cent chip thing will take it off but they are shit and will fuck up your motor.

Yes, you can get your ecu reflashed, but its expensive. Those little chips dont do anything but make you run rich and deposit carbon and burn way to much fuel.

My 92 was limited at 128mph. They have the limiters, they're just higher. Some early model 2nd gens and quite a few 1st gens don't have limiters, but usually those were the ones built in Mexico, not the ones built in the US.

i like speed limiters personally that way i know i am not gonna be driving my way down the road and get ass ended or in a front end collision with some dumb ass that thinks they can stick their pedal to the floor after picking up some racing fuel and shit which is illegal from street use and kill me and my girl in some fucked up wreck cuz they have stock tires suspention and shit and i am not trying to bash eveybody just the ppl that have lead feet that dont know when enough is enough or care where they do it i am not saying i am a role model driver i have 2 speeding tickets on my record and yea i have one of the gen1 cavs that will do 110 stock with the 3speed auto taht bitch moves and i know it cuz i tried it (on a back road that a couple buddies of mine and i blocked off with stolen road cones :D) we tested like 5 cars taht night but my point is if u do it do it safely and dont be stupid about it and be careful and watch for the other ppl on the road so anyway ttyl And i agree with everybody else that says it if u dont know how to set a car up with the mods to keep u safe u dont neeed to know how to disable it, "Anyway how do u disable it?" :P

periods at the end of each sentence makes for easier reading. And just because someone has a limiter doesn't mean that they won't kill you...or your girl in some stupid accident. Yeah the limiter is set to not let the car exceed what the stock tires and suspension can handle, but at the same time it cannot judge a good driver from a bad one. If you got an idiot thinking he should test the limiter and can't handle the speed you can kiss his or her, and maybe a few others asses goodbye.
