Has anyone used Lucas oil stabilizer? Any opinions? I have a 3L in my '98 GC with 135K on it.

Changing the oil every 3k-5k is more important than not changing it and putting in additives.

I have a 92 GC with 3.3L 175K miles and I use Lucas and change the oil every 4K miles. Engine was running a little on the low side as far as oil pressure when I bought it, we have put 30K on it and its not getting any worse so......

Your changing oil at the 4K mark is good preventative maintenance. However, nothing of what you said in the post would convince me the Lucas oil stabilizer was doing anything except costing you money.

The original poster wanted to know if anyone else here used it. I told him that I did.
I didnt realize I had to convince you. You need to choose the products that you believe in based on personal real life experiences, not chat room testemonials. I know people in the real world that I trust that use it and thats good enough for me. :)

Your second post contained the information I would be looking for if it was my question.

I have used Lucas oil stabilizer in my snowplow truck engine, not in my GC. At 189,000 miles it had a seal leak at the back of the engine that just left small puddles in my driveway wherever it was parked. I tried other snake oils that were supposed to stop leaks but none of them helped. The Lucas oil has stopped the leaks and the truck is still going with 206,000 miles.
