Rodeo 97 Oscillating noise: front center to right side

We developed this whirling/oscillating noise recently under the hood, center to right side. The noise increases and oscillates faster with speed and cuts when I put the car in neutral. Our mechanic found that the thermal fan clutch was going. We replaced it, however, it did not fix the problem. I just wanted to check in with you all and see if anyone has been in this situation before. Thank you for any thoughts, ideas or advice.
