Ok guys, I'm new to this forum and I hope someone can give me some help here. I have an 89 240sx that started this yesterday. I had just changed my brakes and took it for a test drive and I got back I shut it off for a minute, when I tried to start it again, all it did was click a few times. I checked my battery connections and they were good. I have a month old optima battery and it has a good charge in it. I thought maybe my starter had gone bad so I took it out and had it tested....it was bad. I put a new starter on and tried to start it, nothing happened. I checked all my wire connections and they were good. Now here is the weird part. I open my door and the dome light comes on, when I turn the key I get the instrument lights, but I turn the key all the way to start, all the lights go out. It looks like there is no pwer to anything. After about 10 minutes, I can open the door and the dome light is on, and the same with the instrument lights until I turn the key all the way to start, then the same thing happens. I checked the new starter and it is good. Any ideas guys?
