Which small block to buy?!?!

Hey guys, i have a 1999 35th anniversary mustang. Its a standard 3.8 v-6 with nothing done to it except dual exhaust from the engine back. I'm not too familiar with motors, or anything like that. Im just looking for some advice on which small block i should buy. Also is there anything i have to upgrade my car performance whise so it can keep up with the small block. Im planning on turbo charging it later on. So keep that in mind as well. Thankyou guys for any help you may give me.

427 ci. 351w based stroker. That'd be the smallest smallblock I would swap in. Keep it carb'd, save weight and time on wiring.

I think the 4.6 swap would be a wiring nightmare, and I don't have a lot of respect for the 4.6's anyway. Yes, the cobra motors can handle a lot of power on a stock bottom end, but damn they're hard to work on.

What about a 5.0, I believe they have a lower compression ratio making it a good supercharging candidate.

any motor can have any compression ratio if you choose your parts wisely. My 5.0 has about 10:1 compression...
