well today has been a sad day for New Zealand motorsport with the funeral for Ashley Stichbury who died from a brain haemorage last friday.
He will be sadly missed by many Kiwi "petrolheads" and racers alike. The Transam series will not be the same again:(

Deffintly a sad day.
I found out on the Friday, someone who knew him came into the Workshop and told my Boss who through his involvment in Motor sport also knew him.
He was a very talanted driver, and its a shame he never got to go further in the sport.

Nightline broke the news that he was in hospital and on Friday night he passed away.
Too many woung people are dying of brain haemorages at the moment, It is getting quite scary. The youngest I have heard of so far was in his early 20's

I had an uncle that died of something like this many years ago. He lay down with a headache, and asked my aunt to get him a glass of water. By the time she got back with the water, he was unconscious.. and never regained consciousness :(

Yeah, I only heard about it this morning, such a shame and waste of enormous talent. This brain hemorage thing is freaking me out, mainly because I don't know what they are, so for all I know I could die of a brain hemorage tomorrow and not notice..........:(
