starting problem

hi I have a 95 plymouth voyager,when I try to start it I get one click then I lose power and I have to disconnect the battery and reconnect it and reset the anti-theft code,can any help,it has a 3 litre engine.cuold it be the anti-theft or starter,battery,ect.

Will it start with a jump? If so, check battery and/or connections.
