caravan dome light

My dome lights don't go out when the door is closed. The "Chime" rings when the key is out and the lights are off. Any ideas?

2003 caravan sport.

I suspect the door is not pushing in the pin (all the way) to shut off the light. A common problem.

The fix for this is to get some 4M square mounting tape and put it on the door where it makes contact with the pin. The extra 1/16 of an inch usually is enough to push the pin in and disconnect any marginal contact.
