actually i was at taco bell once with a video camera, not harassing anyone, just walking through/around the parking lot with some friends and the manager came out and asked us to put the camera away or get off the property. i dont know if there are laws about it, but i dont know if i'd want the cops to get called on me just to find out.

That is company policy I'm sure. I've worked several jobs where it is written company policy that you aren't supposed to allow any photography within the establishment.

If its posted, or company policy, you can't video or audio tape anywhere on the premises, most companies include customer and employee parking, but it has to be posted in plain sight near the entrance to the business. Also, if the company is using video or audio devices for theft prevention it has to be posted on the doors in plain sight.

Whenever I tell someone how to take a picture of my ex-wife, they all have the same answer.. ouch. After the divorce she sat around and ate everything in sight, she's 5'4 and toting around 300lbs now, so yup you need to take 2 pictures left and right, then tape them together or back up a mile or 2....
