I finished this one this morning too. 2 Finished builds in 2 days is a new record for me.

Thanks for all who followed the progress of this car, and commented. You guys convinced me to re-think the original wheels, and i decided to use them, but repainted the centers metallic grey. I also added some resin slotted rotors behind the 19" Volk CE28 wheels.

This truck was painted with Cobra Colors Ferrari Blue Mirabeau, and Porsche Polar Silver. The interior was painted Blue/Grey/Black.

The whole truck was lowered about 4-5 scale inches, and the chassis was weathered a bit.

Turned out killer :sunglasse

I parked next to a black one last night up in the N. GA mountains. Still looks cool/funky as ever, like a moon buggy dressed up to go to town.

I like this wheel selection and finish much better! This looks cooler as a canyon carver than a blingy poseur  .

You made the right choice on the wheels!!!
I stopped following the thread once you slapped on the chromes....
Looks even tougher with the lip/colored spokes!

I have never liked this car either but your little tune ups
make it look very cool, and itīs amazing what a little bit of drybrushing can do!

Goog job!

Excellent work! I too am glad you switched back to these rims. I love your color choice, too, how do you pick such perfect colors?

Just show up to any ACME-related get-together and you'd understand, we're all addicts for Cobra Colors paints. It's obscene. I think if people handed out bottles of Cobra Colors for halloween you'd see every one of us dressed in goofy costumes and trick or treating to get our Cobra Colors fix. We live to get the latest order and shake those bottles furiously and dream of all our models in technicolor :lol2:

Thanks. :) I have about 25-30 Cobra Colors on hand, so mixing and matching was fun with this car.

That silver isn't what I was expecting at all. In the bottle it had a bit of a blue tint to it. Holding the bottles together, they looked like a good match of 2 shades of blue. After spraying the silver, there was very little of the blue hue apparent. So my 'perfect' choice was entirely an accident.. :)

I'm glad it worked out the way it did though. I'm really happy with how this one turned out overall.

Now I can follow you on the rim choice, they look nicer with the black spokes. Nice work!!
