I there, I have a few questions about Cavies....
My Cav is a 95 2 DR Coup, not a Z24 :( OH WELL!:D

1.) Can I take parts from the new cavs (96-05) and pute them on my cav?
2.) Is it posible to install a sun roof on my cav? (I dont have one)
(Retractible or not)
3.) Will moding my car bring my insurance up?
4.) Will having a 88 trasmission effect any thing in my cars profomance?
5.) Can you pute snow tires on a 16 or 17 inch rims? (or Studed tires)
6.) How do they get the Hot Dog into the Corny Exterior? (Had to ask...)

As you can see, 6 Questions, if anyone has any aswers post away! :)

Thanks in advance!

1: Yes/No.
2: Yes
3: No.
4: Tranny will go out quiker since its allready XXX ammount older.
5: Yes but thats just bleh.
6: They dont. The hotdog is placed on the stick then it is breaded via a dipping machine into an almost liquid breading like substance.

the tranny was in great condition when I got it, it had I think 30, thousand miles on it...
( thats good for something that old... )

"5: Yes but thats just bleh."
mmmm,,,, it snows alot here, and small 14 inch tires look funny on a car with a body kit, just wondering if it would make a difrence with snow tires in the winter, or should I just switch back and forth between 17 and 14 inchers for the dif seasons?

I would just switch back and forth personally. Granted to some people looks are important but frankly its just more functional to me to have two different sets. That and I know I wouldnt want all that snow and salt from the roads to fuck with my black rims with da blingy crome lip.

Also dont forget about the things you dont see. Say you are driving along and there is a little bit of snow ground cover so here you are just crusin along and then fuckin BAM!! big ass pot hole. Suck on that nice pretty rims. Oh but wait those where my winter rims mother nature you fat whore.

Ummm pay no attention to that last little bit. :sly:

You know what :useless:

I want to see some. It's actually not worthless but would be nice to see what your cavy looks like. And I've always wanted to use that smiley set.

Ya, most guys invest in some winter wheels so their nice wheels dont get effed up. That or get a driver for the winter and garage the Cavy til spring.

And corndogs kick ass.

I was asking something similar a few weeks or a month ago about winterizing my car. And this same discussion came about. If I should get 18" winter tires for my car. I can't remember who it was, but someone brought up the point that the salt on the roads would more than likely damage my new rims.

I decided to just put my stock steelies on. Maybe get some new tires just for winter on them too. I would only have them on during the winter.

So, i'd say keep stock or buy some cheap 14" rims that you really wouldn't care if you damaged. Because yes you having a body kit, the 14" steelies won't look that "cool". I'm sure if you look around, you'll find someone selling some 14" rims for dirt cheap.

I talked to a few guys around here about this, they said that street weels have NO traction on wet roads, one guy said he put some winter tires on his 17" rims cuz of the traction.
Anyone think that might work? Or is it :screwy: talk!
I live in WV and wet roads + TO MENY CURVS!!!, = a car wreck real EZ, lol.
I will stay with the stock rims for now, just till winter is over.

Didnt the '88s have a 2.0 or 2.8 in it? Im pretty sure a 2.2 motor wont bolt up to and 88 tranny.

yes we can all tell you like corndogs...........maybe a little bit too much. anyways. i just got some rims w/ hankook "all weather" tires. live in arkansas so it doesnt snow too much, but when it does, im just gonna put the stock 14's back on until the weather clears up. the odd look is well worth not having to pay to repair a bent rim or get a new one. just thought i would give my 2 cents

during winter i usually buy a super cheap beater and just beat the snot out of it al;l winter and if it survives the wither i sell it in spring, P.S. they usually die in some snow drift .... oh yea why is it calleds a snow drift? it doesnt float arround or swerve in front of your car. you know drivein a parkway, park in a driveway, dumb words i swear
